struggling with fueling enough on double-rehearsal days... suggestions?

by Pointeeeee 38d ago

so we just started run-throughs for our fall showcase, which means i’m in the studio from 9 to 6 with only a 45 minute lunch break and short 15 minute pauses. by 3 in the afternoon, my legs feel dead. i also dont really like eating a heavy meal during lunch because i hate dancing with a full stomach but clearly what I’m doing right now isn't working. what are your go-to quick, light, high energy snacks that don't make you feel weighed down when dancing?

liquid calories were a lifesaver for me when i had 8-hour rehearsal days! bring a smoothie, it can be anything but i like mine with banana, oat milk, peanut butter, and protein powder. I sip it during short breaks instead of chugging it all at once

dried fruit and almonds are great snacks options- also i like dates filled with a tiny bit of almond butter cuz those give you instant quick carbs plus sustained energy without bloating
